Bellaria

The holiday as you desire it

Bellaria Igea Marina is one of the most popular holiday resort of the Romagna Riviera. It was just a small and ancient fishing village when it became, during the twentieth century, an established center resort with many hotels, restaurants, guest houses and apartments. Bellaria Igea Marina offers seven kilometers of beach along the Adriatic coast, with fine sand and modern structures which become a spacious setting where to live and enjoy the sea during the summer.

Bellaria’s beach for families with children

Shallow and safe waters are perfect for families with children; equipment for sports and fitness are particularly appreciated by young people; efficient beach service combined with the proverbial friendliness of attendants and staff are the best for those who love sun, rest and relax. Bellaria Igea Marina is undoubtedly a holiday resort particularly suitable for families with children who choose it every year for their holidays by the sea. However it offers many opportunities for young people and the most dynamic tourists. Many beach resorts are equipped with facilities for beach sports, from the traditional bowls to beach volleyball, beach tennis, beach soccer and fun activities such as water aerobics and latin dance. The offer for those who like the active holiday is composed by: two sailing clubs for lovers of the sea, tennis courts a few hundred meters from the beach, two beautiful golf courses just few minutes away by car, along with cycling and hiking paths.

Events and Shopping in Bellaria

In Bellaria Igea Marina the blue of the sea is perfectly mixed with the green of nature. The city offers two pedestrian aeras which are perfect for a walk during the evening, shopping and also various entertainment events and shows that the city organizes for its guests. They are the Isola dei Platani in Bellaria, a few minutes walk from our hotel, and Viale Ennio in Igea Marina. In these pedestrian areas you can find bars, pizzerias, shops, pubs, restaurants.

The green lung of the city is the large Gelso Park, in Igea Marina, an area of 25 hectares in the heart of our urban center, where tall trees like pines and small oaks alternate, creating a magic harmony of colors and scents.

In Bellaria Igea Marina you can also find some monuments of its ancient and recent past. The Torre Saracena dates back to the seventeenth century: built to spot the pirates who infested the Adriatic sea, it has been now transformed in an interesting shell museum. In the north of the village there is the Red Home of the writer Alfredo Panzini, which is the scenario of summer cultural initiatives.
